The smell of grilling meat, live music playing, ice cold margaritas, amazing food. But, do you know what’s better than tacos and margaritas? Half priced margaritas and $1.50 tacos! Local businesses around Calhoun county are gearing up for Cinco de Mayo events and are inviting you to join in the celebration on Wednesday, May 5th.

If you’re looking for some good food and fun activities to try, consider these:

Jalisco

Located off of hwy 78 in Oxford, Jalisco Taqueria and Grill is hosting drink specials from 2pm - close on Wednesday.
Rack and Roll Billiards

Located off of Noble Street in Anniston, Rack and Roll Billiards and Sports Bar is hosting food and drink specials starting at 6pm, and live music by Andrew May from 8-11pm. Specials include $5 margaritas, $3.50 Coronas, $2 Southwest chicken or shrimp tacos, and $7 chicken enchiladas (dine in only).
Grand Central

Located off of Noble Street in Anniston, Grand Central Station opens at 7pm for their special Cinco de Mayo event, and are hosting drink specials and a taco bar.
Tacos and Tequila

Located in Alexandria, Tacos and Tequila is hosting all day food and drink specials, with $1.50 beef or chicken tacos, Pollo Loco for $8.99, draft beers for $1.50, and $3.99 margaritas.
Margorona’s

(Kinda) Cinco De Mayo – Monday 5/3 from 3pm – 9pm
$1.50 Ground beef or shredded chicken tacos. $3 bottle beer domestic and imported

(Almost) Cinco De Mayo – Tuesday 5/4 from 3pm – 9pm
$2.50 Mexican tacos. $4 Margaritas (16oz)

Cinco De Mayo – Wednesday 5/5
$1.50 Ground beef or shredded chicken tacos. $3 bottle beer domestic and imported. $2.50 Mexican tacos. $4 Margaritas (16oz)
Heirloom Taco

Located on Ladiga Street in Jacksonville, AL, Heirloom Tacos is hosting a special 9 hour event from 11am to 8pm featuring bottomless queso, half priced tacos, drink specials, a DJ from 5-8pm, and a special photo booth with Grace Cockrell Photography.
