Sometimes the phrase “Hole in the Wall” can translate into one of the best places you can eat. This could be said about the legendary Chef T’s. Located in Alexandria, Chef T’s is known for its staple dishes by Tony Soles affectionately known as Chef T and his son, Codera (a professionally trained chef from Culinard a culinary school in Birmingham, AL) which make up two of the three owners, third being Carl Byers.
After finding the building on 431 back in 2012 the Restaurant quickly became desired for its “cook to order” dishes. Severing fresh hamburgers, chicken livers, fish and with their own BBQ Pit fired up to go along with the Kitchen you will not be hard pressed to find something on the menu to tickle your taste buds. The vegetables are always prepared fresh daily, and this makes their sides to die for. Between mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, collard and turnip greens, fried green tomatoes and many more sides to pair with your meat of choice it is no wonder Chef T’s has gained such a loyal following.
One of our favorite things about Chef T’s is the Breakfast. Nothing like getting your day started with an all-star breakfast. As many times as we have enjoyed not only Breakfast, but Lunch or Dinner one thing is for certain. It is a pretty safe bet Tony (Chef T) will stop by your table and greet you with a smile and a hello. That is part of the atmosphere that makes this “Hole in the Wall” one of our great featured Restaurants and we highly recommend giving it a try.
