The lunch crew picked a good spot on this day. Anytime I hear “let’s go to Betty’s” my mouth waters and my stomach gets excited. They had their Meatloaf on special, so I didn’t really need a menu. I love the atmosphere in Betty’s, all their staff are great and most have been there for many years. Very family-oriented workplace vibe. I have always been a fan of their hand battered Onion Rings, so I got those to go along with steamed potatoes (first time trying these). The Onion Rings are some of the bests you’ll ever find. The batter is always fried golden crispy with a one-of-a-kind flavor and the onions inside are nice and tender. A little salt, pepper and butter on those steamed potatoes and they were delicious. On to the main course, the Meatloaf. Bettys has a lot of family recipes in their arsenal, and it was obvious the Meatloaf is one of them. It was cooked perfectly, and it was seasoned well. Very moist and full of flavor. I really enjoyed it and recommend trying it. Then it was time to pop the blue jean button loose and go in for dessert. Finishing off my lunch with their Chocolate Brownie Pie with whip cream on top. Great way to close out a great lunch from one of Anniston’s best BBQ joints. Until next time!
